Bella Ellwood-Clayton

BELLA ELLWOOD-CLAYTON is part academic, part freelance editor, but her greatest love is writing fiction. Her debut novel is Don’t Play with Amy (Post Hill Press 2023).

She has a Ph.D. in sexual anthropology—and, yes, that makes for interesting dinner party conversations. In 2012, her nonfiction book, Sex Drive: In Pursuit of Female Desire, was published by Allen & Unwin. She frequently appears on TV and radio and gives talks about relationships, including a TEDx talk. She has published short stories, poetry, and written for publications such as Huffington Post and Daily Life.

Married, she is a mom of two spirited tweens and a teacup maltese who thinks he’s a pit bull.
