John C. Boland

For fifteen years, JOHN C. BOLAND (also writing under James L. Ross) ran a successful hedge fund (Remnant Partners L.P.). His nonfiction has appeared in Barron’s, The Wall Street Journal and The (Sunday) New York Times. His fiction includes about a dozen novels and numerous short stories for Alfred Hitchcock’s and Ellery Queen’s mystery magazines. He has received three Shamus award nominations, including most recently his pseudonymous novel Long Pig which was nominated by the Private Eye Writers for a Shamus, Best Paperback Original. Also, his story “Marley’s Revolution” was nominated for a 2012 Edgar award.
