KATE PARKER was raised by two voracious readers in a house full of mystery and history books. While she was engaged in a variety of careers, including microbiologist in two hospitals, insurance fraud investigator, office clerk, telephone line repairer, and emergency medical technician, she kept reading and attempted writing as well.
Since she’s moved to the coast of Carolina six years ago, Kate has been a finalist in RWA’s Golden Heart contest three times, a three time finalist in the Daphne du Maurier contest, and won the fiction writing award in the Literary Symposium held for New Bern, North Carolina’s three hundredth anniversary. Kate is the author of THE VANISHING THIEF (Berkley). When Kate’s not plotting murder and mayhem in the streets of Victorian London or traveling in modern day Europe, she can be found enjoying the beauty of her neighborhood with her family.
