Amy Ferris

AMY FERRIS is an author, screenwriter, editor and playwright. She is a co-editor of The Shame Prom (Seal Press 2012) and has contributed (as an author) to the anthologies: He Said What? (Seal Press, 2011), The Drinking Diaries (Seal Press, 2012) and The Buddha Next Door (Middleway Press, 2009.) Her memoir, Marrying George Clooney (Seal Press) will make it’s Off-Broadway debut Fall 2012 (Produced by CAP21 Theater Company). She has written for both film, and television, and was nominated for best screenplay (BET) for Funny Valentines (Julie Dash, Director). She serves on the Board at The Women’s Media Center (Founded by Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinem, and Robin Morgan), the Board of Directors at Peters Valley Art, Education and Craft Center and Pages & Places Literary Festival. She is on the Faculty of The San Miguel del Allende International Writers Conference and served on a judging panel (Creative Non-Fiction) for the 2010 PEN/USA Literary Awards. MORE magazine named her blog http://www.marryinggeorgeclooney.com one of the ten best for women over 40.
