Lynne Connolly

LYNNE CONNOLLY grew up in England and fell in love with history at an early age. She got her degrees at Manchester University before going to work as a market research manager. Such fun. History has been a constant. Stately homes, museums, art galleries – she’s there five minutes before they open. She adores travelling, and there’s still a lot of world to see.

None of this qualified her to write, although she did write stories for her own amusement. In fact she’s always written, and her first story was a continuation of Sir Gawain And The Green Knight at the age of seven!  She married a special needs teacher who she’s very proud of, and became a stay at home mum. While she loves her kids, overdosing on Thomas the Tank Engine stories drove her to create a series of stories of her own. When she submitted them to a publisher, to her shock, they liked them and a new career was born. That series became the Richard and Rose series. Since then, she’s written historical romance series set in her beloved Georgian era, some contemporaries and some paranormal romances. The Emperors of London did really well, and after a spin-off series, she’s writing a whole new romance series about detectives in Georgian England. They’re all pretty steamy. She’s helped in her endeavours by a series of muses, or rather, mewses. The current mews is a daft ragdoll called Frankie.
