After working as a journalist and columnist for several leading South African newspapers and magazines for three decades, PENNY HAW finally mustered the courage to pursue a lifelong dream and turned her hand to fiction. She tip-toed her way in with a children’s chapter book about a strong, independent woman (her grandmother) and her miscellany of animal friends. The experience convinced Penny that writing books wasn’t only possible for her, but also great fun. Since then, she’s written women’s fiction, which continues to feature fascinating, strong-minded female characters and includes stories about unconventional women who changed history. Penny’s writing also illustrates her love for animals and nature.
